Daniel Miller, farmer, Glen Arbor Twp, was born in Dansville, Livingston Co., NY in 1806. Remained in that county until 1841.
He then moved to Clayton, Genesee Co, MI. Was there engaged in farming and the manufacture of potash and saleratus till 1862
when me moved to Glen Arbor, Leelanaw Co., MI
and bought 160 acres of land of the govt. in
section 29. His farm lies on an elevation that provides him a fine view of Lake Michigan and the So. Manitou Island, and the winds from the lake make it a fine fruit country. He has been highway commissioner for
1 year. Married in 1831 to Ann Hart a native of Livingston Co, NY. They have 7 sons
and 2 daughters; one son living in Genessee Co., MI one in Nevada, and 5 near their fathers house on Miller Hill. One daughter lives in Genesee Co and one at home.

Wells B. Miller , farmer, Glen Arbor, Leelanaw Co., MI, was born in Dansville, Livinston Co., NY, Feb. 8, 1833. During his boyhood his parents removed to Genesse Co., MI where he remained until 1861. In May of that year he, his father and brother came to
Leelanaw Co. prospecting. He pre-empted 145 1/2 acres in Section 30, Town 29, Range 13.
Thie pre-emption was afterward changed to a
homestead entry. Mr. Miller moved in with his family in Oct. 1861. This tract in on an
elevation known as Miller Hill. Mrs. Miller was Cynthia Johnsont, an native of Ohio. They were married Oct, 1854 and have 5 children. Mr. M. has held the office of town treasurer 2 years and Justice of Peace 3 years.
