I have used the site you referenced and cannot find my g-grandmother listed. I even left out the name and searched the list of Lapeer Co. deaths for 1888-1889. I have no records on her, only the family story that she died after the birth of her 5th child in March, 1888. I am not sure if the death was attributed to childbirth since I do not know the date. I only know my g-grandfather went to a Catholic priest in Detroit and told him he needed a wife to care for his five children. He was re-married in three weeks and they had 8 more children. I have a date of this marriage as 1888, although no record of proof. They could have married in 1889. Their first child was born June 1890. In using Seeking Michigan, I have sometimes narrowed my search to just the county and township, no name listed. I found many relatives this way because the last name is spelled or transcribed differently. Were you able to make a copy of your death record? If so, can you tell me how you did it? Thanks!
