FIFE LAKE - Mitchell Wesley Dean Cook, 13, of Fife Lake, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2002, at his home.
He was born on Jan. 31, 1989, in Traverse City, the son of Norma Feutz and Barry Cook.
Mitchell was a student at Forest Area Middle School and enjoyed horseback riding, skateboarding, dirt bike riding, children, animals, music and Play Station II.
Mitchell is survived by his loving family, including his mother, Norma Feutz of Fife Lake, and his father, Barry Cook of Elk Rapids; stepfather, Duane Krumlauf of Fife Lake; godparents, Chuck Quillin and Becky Clingan of Mancelona; sisters, Kara Quillin of South Boardman, Tara Quillin of Mt. Pleasant, Kayla Quillin and Pamela Quillin both of Fife Lake; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Duane Miller and Phillip Miller of Kalkaska, Christina Kenel of South Boardman, Tabitha Drake of Fife Lake, Michael Clingan and Katherine Treece both of Mancelona; grandparents, Helen Malosh of Rapid City, Donna Cook of East Port and Bob Cook of Elk Rapids; great-grandmother, Marge Paradis of Kewadin; uncle and aunt, Delton and Bonnie Cordell of Rapid City; niece and nephew, Harley and Savannah Herrick of South Boardman; and special friends BJ Thomas and Charles Shwartz.
Visitation will be held today from 3 to 9 p.m. at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Visitation will continue on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor William McQueen from the Victory Baptist Church will be officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given in behalf of Mitchell Wesley Dean Cook to the Child Guidance Center in Traverse City or the Forest Area Middle School.
