My Great-great-grandmother's name was Ida V. Herald. She was born in Oberline, Ohio on March 1, 1863. She married Edward J. Shanks in Dunkirk, Ohio on October 7, 1880. They moved to Kalkaska County, settling near Spencer in 1897 until 1908 when they moved to the village of Kalkaska. She died May 29, 1950. Edward died January 1, 1949. They had four daughters Edith, Junie, Caroline, and Susie (Gordon, Cochran, Packer). I don't know if this is the same line or not. The V for her middle name could be Violet - I don't know. I also would appreciate any information on the Herald line.
