Hi Barbara,
I have found out more info on my husband's Hendricks family, and they were in and out of Kalamazoo Co several times. Samuel Hendricks born 1820 Westmoreland PA, moved to Columbiana Co. when age of 3, mother died and father remarried and lived there until 1829.He married in 1843 to Sarah Bradbury of Columbiana Co. Ohio; In 1849 went to Michigan; sold his farm in 1857 and started for Iowa. Remained in Iowa City, Iowa, until 1864. Traveled over the west until the spring of 1865, when he moved to Richland Co. Wisconsin. Sarah Bradbury Hendricks died in 1857, he remarried in 1862 to Lovina Ream. First marriage produced four children; Janie, Elizabeth, James Madison and James Monroe. Second marriage produced Nathan, Jacob, Adda, Annie, Samuel, Jr.; Mary and Lettie.Died in 1892 in Wisconsin.
Does any of this tie in with your Hendricks?
Thanks for checking.
Judy Nichols
