Hi,
Thanks for taking another look. Well Samuel Chichester and Elizabeth Fitz were married in 1807 in Newton, Sussex Co. NJ [a very kind researcher looked that up for me].

Samuel Chichester died 14 October,1867 in Galesburg, MI.and is buried S. E. of Augusta MI.

All of their children were born in NJ.
There was a Julia A Chichester b. 1811 who married a Peter Johnson.
Mary Chichester b. 1812-3 who married George Davis
Emaline Chichester b. July 14, 1818 in NJ, Warren Co. NJ [the counties changed about that time].
James Davisson/Davidson Chichester was b. May 4, 1820..he married twice; first to Catherine Bloss b. 1818 and who died prior to 1866, when he married Hannah Bishop.
Samuel Chichester was b. 1823 in NJ and married Sarah Vosburg with whom he had children and second to Mary Jane Pierson.
Jane Chichester was born about 1827 in NJ; she married Berthier Beckwith who was born in NY.

Elizabeth Chichester, Samuel's wife, is shown in the 1870 Michigan Census Index listed as "E", she is the second one from the top!

It does seem like another person looking at some of these files really does help sort out some of the mis-spellings and just WRONG data!

Thank you so much,
Jan Hart
