Hi,

My name is Marilyn. I am searching for the descendants of Guy H. Brown who was living in Kalamazoo, MI in 1920 with his wife Cora (Allen?) Brown. He had 10 children, 6 boys & 4 girls.
Sons are:
Cecil G., Guy F., Victor P., Dale H., Calvin, & Ernest F.
Daughters are:
Mabel, married name Kemp; Winifred, married name Cramer, Cora, married name Edgerly; Alice, married name White.

Guy H. Brown was born in S.D. to Harmon Gilson Brown & Carrie M. Wallin/Walling. Carrie died in Kalamazoo in 1920. She lived with Guy & his family.

I have history of Brown family from 1754 & am looking to share information/photos. I have a booklet about the Brown family with photos of Harmon & his siblings.

Guy H. Brown is the brother of my grandfather, Melza Clinton Brown, so Guy is my Great Uncle. Guy & Melza had half brothers; John, George, Calvin & Orla and a half sister, Jennie E. Brown who married James P. Brownell in Steuben, IN, in 1880 & they all moved to Doland, South Dakota in the 1880's. After Harmon (their father) died in 1894 (?) some returned to IN & others went to Washington State & by 1920, Guy was married & living in Kalamazoo with his mother living with them, Carrie M. Brown.

I am now in contact with Orla's descendants. Orla had moved to Washington.

Would like to share inf. with other descendants of this Brown family (and booklet). Especially would like to know if someone has a photograph of Carrie M. & Harmon Brown or Guy & Melza as youngsters (I have Melza in 1907, with 2 of his sons) or brothers. Calvin & Orla or Jennie E. Brownell.

The "US Browns" booklet was written in 1932, by Harmon Gilson Brown's grandson (son of John), Blaine Brown, who was living in Jackson, MI. He did not know at that time what had happened to his father's (John) younger half siblings, Calvin, Orla, Melza or Guy (his Uncles). We now know quite a bit more, but would like to fill in some gaps & share earlier history.

Thank you for any inf.

Sincerely,
Marilyn Brown LeVeque
