Hello Heather:

There is a book comming out soon pretaining to the significant arcitectual models in Kalamazoo. This person who coauthored the book throughly researched the Kalamazoo State Hospital Building and some background on associated people. presprac@mindspring.com

I have also seen a book on an investigation into the Kalamazoo State Hospital or Sanitarium completed in late 1800s, maybe 1870s, at the Library Of Michigan.

Good Luck
Ken
