Both Abraham and William bought land and stated they were from Genesee Co., NY.:

RAYMOND, WILLIAM        MI        Jackson               8/10/1839        Monroe        9647        MI1110__.164

Also, it appears Orleans is just north of Genesee Co., NY. From what I understand, Wyoming was carved from Genesee about 1840. Let me know how it goes!
