I checked some of the names in your posting at the Jackson District library.Several of their Jackson County history books mention James Taylor (both father and son). One in particular (the Deland book) has a biography of Cornelius J. Taylor and mentions quite a lot about the family's history. Also the 1960 Census book at the library lists James Taylor as having died in October of 1859.He was 65 years old, from Conn., married, farmer, and died of dispepsia. If you are not close enough to visit the library, I will make copies if you want.
