Hi Mike,
I am descended from Joel Crouch (who never left NY) whose father was Richard son of Thomas Frink Crouch.I have the straight line back as far as Christopher.
I became interested in the Michigan Crouch family after finding what I believe are 2 grand daughters of Joel, living in NY but born in Michigan.I hadn't known of any of Joel's kids going to Michigan. So far the only possible son of Joel that might have gone to Mi for a while is Caleb. He would have only been there for a little while, because the daughters were born in 1861 and 1862.I haven't been able to find him in 1860 or 1870, at least that I could be certain of.Caleb was born about 1830/1 and for a while there are many Calebs born that year, then they all disapear.
While trying to find the family of these 2 granddaughters, I began investigating all the Crouch families of Jackson.I believe I have them all straight, but I would like to know how they are related.I have information on Samuel (son of Cornelius), a couple Williams, John, Eli, Ambrose, Jacob, Joseph, and Jackson. I am also very interested in Asenath Crouch Crawford.I had not heard of Permilia, but that is undoubtedly because she was married by the time she got to Michigan.
I am also interested in all the children of Thomas Frink Crouch, where they went and what their names were.
It would probably be easier if you emailed me at home. Looking forward to comparing notes with you, Pat
