Stell Family of Isabella County

I am looking for any information I can find about the Stell family of Isabella Co., Michigan. My g-g-grandfather, Jacob Stell was born in 1828 in France, immigrated to Wayne Co. New York sometime before 1859, when he married Sarah ? there. All I know at this point about Jacob's family is that he had a brother named Christian Stell (b. abt. 1836) Jacob is listed in the 1860 census as living with his wife, daughter and brother in the town of Arcadia, Wayne Co., New York. Jacob fought in the Civil War. After the war, he moved his family first to Wisconsin for a short period, then to Hillsdale County, Michigan for a short period, and finally to Shephard, Isabella Co., Michigan, where they lived from abt. 1870 on. Jacob died there in 1899 and is burried in the Salt River Cemetery, Coe Twp., Isabella County. His wife Sarah was 13 years his junior, born in 1841, probably in Wayne Co., New York. She died in Mt. Pleasant, Isabella Co., Michigan in abt. 1923 at the home of her daughter Allace, the wife of Lewis D. Cole. My great-grandmother, Minnie Stell was born in Shepherd, Isabella Co. on November 14, 1877. She became the wife of Jesse Lott. If anyone knows anything about this family generally, or about the identity of Jacob Stell's parents, I would be grateful to hear from you.
