I have a Jude R. Spencer born 1804 in N.Y. Came to Orleans, Ionia Co., MI. about 1860. Died Orleans, December 31, 1888. He bought a mill in Orleans Co. He married Seviah or Sophia Hayes born PA. Their children that I know of were Jude R., John Spencer, Sylvenus W. who married Elizabeth Bowen and Betsy who married a Johnson. I believe his brother came with him, his name was James Spencer.
I am also looking for any of his children's families. Jude jr. born April 1832 in N.Y. married Sarah L. Baldwin born August, 1843 in Mi. Their children were Charles M. Spencer born Jan. 1876 married Anna May Smith, Henry Lymon Spencer born Nov., 1870 MI. married Isabel J. ?, Cora E. Spencer born Dec. 1874, Bertha M. Spencer born 1881 married Grey Race, Isabelle Spencer born 4/22/1878 in MI. died Nov. 20, 1909 In Orleans, MI. married Peter Coyle 6/23/1894 Montcalm Co, MI., Clara A. Spencer, Benajah born Nov. 1868 died 12/31/1868
