Got your message. I am a member of the Shuler family in Lansing, Michigan. My Grandfather Dana Shuler moved to Lansing about 1910 from Marysville, Ohio. He married Nellie Nancy Chaddock that same year. His brother Herman also moved here about that time. They both worked at the Olds motor works for a time (not sure how long). Herman never married and eventually moved to Saginaw, Michigan and lived there until he died.
As far as someone who knew your grandmother Margarett May Shuler, the only person here who may have met her would be my father's sister Ruth shuler Holbrook Reeser. She is in her 90's and I am not sure if her memory would include your grandmother. She is living here in Lansing with her daughter Sue.
I am leaving for a short vacation (should be back about 6/24/2009) and upon my return will contact Sue and see if it is OK to talk to her mother about your grandmother.
