Greetings,

I am searching for Gottlob Ziegler. He was born in 1845, immigrated on the Batavia Steamship from Hamberg to New York and then settled in Lansing, Michigan. Source: Transcribed Steamship Roster and US Fed Census, 1910, Michigan, Ingham, 4-Wd, District 69.

He owned a tannery called G.H. Zielger and Sons, and also edited the German language newspaper in Lansing were he settled.

He married Elizabeth Bauer or Bauerly and after her death, then a woman named Louise or Louisa.

Their children appear to be Anna Zielger b. 1869, Charles A. Ziegler, 1870, Fred H. Zielger, 1871 and Rose? Ziegler born 1878.

Any information you have to share or correct my findings would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and regards,

Lori Hefner
