Merritt A VanDeusen was a photographer who followed the
lumbering activity in 1870s - 1900 in Thumb, beginning
in Lexington, then Sandusky, and Bad Axe, where he
operated Van Deusen's Bay Window Gallery.
About 1893 divorced Hannah Post, to marry Minnie Cosens,
and left the thumb about that time. He also changed
his name to William A. Anderson.
