I'm not aware of any limitations at the Clerk's office. You might go over to the RootsWeb Message Board for Hillsdale Co. and look at a post where an E. Hills has posted- he helps people, too. He goes to the courthouse quite often- he would know. If you go to Hillsdale you might also want to visit the Mitchell Gen Library- take the street on the south side of the courthouse and go 1 block west- NW corner is the new library, next door is Mitchell (big old house).
