Looking for additional information on two apparent brothers who married two apparent sisters in Cambria about 1860.
Thomas Kane/Kean/Keen(all three versions have been used) married Ann/Anne/Anna Murphy 2/17/1863 in Hillsdale. John Kane/Kean married Mary Murphy before 1860. Both men were farmers and had a lot of real estate wealth.
John Kane/Kean born about 1831-1832 Ireland
Mary Murphy born about 1834-1835 Ireland
Hanora/Annura born 1/14/1860 in Cambria
Ann/Anna Elizabeth born abt 1863 in Cambria
Mary Ellen born 11/11/1865 in Cambria
Theresa born 12/13/1867 in Cambria
Katherine/Catherine born May or Aug 1870 in Cambria
Thomas Kane/Kean/Keen born Jun 1834 Ireland(1900 census Santa Clara, CA)
Anna/Ann Murphy born July 1835 Ireland
Daniel D born 1/6/1864 in Cambria
John born and died in 1865(There may be another brother also named John that was born and died as an infant.
William born 6/24/1867 in Cambria
Francis H Frank born 5/2/1872
Mary Ellen born 11/14/1876
I cannot find either family in 1880. In 1900, Thomas Kean is found in Santa Clara Co, CA. His daughter Mary Ellen married Victor C Fallgatter and was living in South Dakota in 1900. Mary Ellen was living in Berkeley, CA in 1910 with her spouse and widowed father. Thomas died in 1913, Daniel died in 1911 in ca and Francis H died in CA in 1945. Mary Ellen's children continued to live in CA mostly around Lassen Co, CA.
Can anyone connect these folks back to people in Ireland and what happened to John Kane/Kean's family?
The Fallgatters lived in Taylor Co, IA and go back to VA.
