Jan,
I recently saw your message requesting information about a Fred/Frank Nearing or Nehring. My great uncle went by Fred or Frank with a last name spelled both ways also. He was to my knowledge born in West Prussia in 1845 and was a brother to my grandfather, Ludwig Nearing/Nehring in Equkzin West Prussia, Germany. His father was Michael Nahring born in 1813, also in West Prussia. Do you think they are the same person? Gerald
