Graham, Robinson, Denning
I'm looking for information about members of the family of Robert Graham, several of whom lived in the Forest Twp.-Otter Lake area in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Robert Graham, b. about 1797 in VA, d. before 1880, place and date unknown. He probably died in Indiana, but may have lived his last years in Otter Lake.
Martha (McCune) Graham, his widow, b. about 1820 in PA, d. March 29, 1905 in Otter Lake. The 1880 census shows her as a widow living with her son Robert in Forest Twp.
They had seven children:
1. Isabella, born January 26, 1844, in Ohio, died August 29, 1927, at Otter Lake; married September 27, 1865, in Huntington County, IN, to Samuel Denning. Sam was a Civil War veteran. He was born in December 1843, and died September 1, 1911, at Otter Lake, MI. 2 children.
2. William F., born May 5, 1845, in Ohio, died June 5, 1911, in Marathon Township, Lapeer County, MI; unmarried. He was a carpenter.
3. John C., born 1847 in Ohio, died after October 10, 1898 (date of his mother’s will).
4. James, born 1851 in Ohio, died probably before October 10, 1898 (not mentioned in his mother’s will).
5. Robert, born 1853 in Ohio, died sometime after the 1880 census but probably before October 10, 1898 (not mentioned in his mother’s will). Unmarried.
6. Jane, born October 21, 1854, in Ohio, died February 23, 1900, in Otter Lake, Lapeer County, MI; married John Robinson, who survived her. 6 children
7. David Morrow, born March 15, 1857, in Huntington County, IN; died January 30, 1951, at Carrington, ND; married (1) July 8, 1879, in Huntington County, IN, to Mary Katherine Spitler (4 children); (2) January 8, 1920, to Dora C. Wilcox of Virginia.
I have no other information on the children except for David (my great-grandfather) who did not live in Michigan.
