I am trying to locate a township by the name of Mentar in Cheboygan county. I recently received a death certificate (from 1923) that indicated the place of death was Mentar. Am I reading the handwriting wrong, could it be Mentor? Help?
The family lived in Conway at the time of the death but I thought perhaps somebody from Emmet county might be familiar with it.
