I have genealogical information on Albert (Bert) Dawson and Anna Prindle. I am the grandaughter of Albert Dawson and his 2nd wife AnnaBelle (Dunham) Dawson of Lawton, MI. I am searching into the reason the Dawsons migrated to Petoskey, Emmet, County MI from Wells County, In.
Albert Grant married first to Anna Alsia. Prindle (born 21 Apr 1871) of Lawton, MI (daughter of L.E. Prindle and Amelia A. Jones, Michigan) on 11 April 1891, when he was 23 and she was 20. Amelia A. (Jones) Prindle donated a stained glass window to the First Baptist Church of Lawton, MI, where it still hangs today, 2012. (have pic)
Albert & Anna Dawson’s first daughter or twin daughters “Dawson” died in infancy 15 Dec 1892. A male son died 15 Dec 1894. Anna died young (19 Jun, 1902 in Petoskey, Emmet Co., MI) leaving a small daughter, Ona Marguerite, born in 20 Dec 1897 in Petoskey, Emmet Co., MI, who d. 22 Aug 1940 in Battle Creek, Calhoun Co., MI. Ona Marguerite Dawson (b. 1897) at age 20 married Wayland W. Brown, age 20 (b. 1897), son of H. W. Brown and Grace McCarthy of Lawton, MI on 17 Oct 1917. Wayland & Marguerite Brown had 8 children. Ona Marguerite Dawson Brown died in 1940 at the age of 43, and is buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Lawton, MI, close to the Prindle graves. (have pic)
