I am tracking John Cornelius WESTERVELT and wife Ellen KIERSTEAD (dau of John KIERSTEAD).

I have John WESTERVELT's death as 10-24-1873 in Esses, Clinton, MI. Four months after marrying his much younger new wife., Ella Dennis.

Cannot find proof that son Cornelius Peter WESTERVELT was born in NY. Especially since wife from NJ and other children born in NJ.

Looking for John C. WESTERVELT's parents.
And his place of birth and date.
