I am also researching Jones family- recently buried near Elsie ... my extended family (actually very close, near and dear to my heart) They were also in Shiawassee and Saginaw Counties (the Jones family) and there were alot of Alexanders in Brant- Saginaw County. Many families have intermarried over the years in that area which is rural to Owosso, St Johns and Ithaca... I have lived near all those locations including Elsie. Try the Census for Shiawassee- our Jones' family is listed there- but I think they are related to the Clinton Co Jones family- just have not made the connection yet. Mortemer Jones 1844-1915....
