The Trout Lake Women's Club printed a local history in 1976 for the bicentennial. It was called "Tro-La-Oz-Ken". The name stands for Trout Lake, Ozark, and Kenneth. The latter two names are for nearby communities. The women's club has reprinted the book and it is for sale at a cost of $8 plus postage and handling. The book contains history of the area and many family histories. There are photos of the area as it looked 100 years ago as well as some photos of families.
