Edward DONER & Libby ST.ANTOINE
Posted by: Judy King Date: May 06, 2001 at 13:29:18

Does anyone have any information on the parents of Edward DONER who married Libbie ST. ANTOINE?
I have an Antoine Edward DONER, born May 03, 1858, Mackinac Island, Mackinac Co., to Antoine DONER/Mary LESSIEUR. He is shown in the 1860 and 1870 censuses with his father. I don't have a record of him in the 1880.
Then in the 1900 census, an Edward DONER age 38, is shown in Cheboygan County; Pelmyra Street; 5th Ward; with wife, Elizabeth (Libby?) and children. In the 1910, the same family is shown.
I would like to believe these two Edward's are one and the same, and that he is the son of my Antoine, but there are a couple of things that bother me. First the age discrepency: while not great, it's enough to question. Second, the names of Edward and Libbie's children, as shown on the censuses, Wilford, Lewis, Eddie, Willie, Oscar, Kathrine, Vivian, Carron, & Leona, don't seem to match any of the ancestry of my Antoine.
What I need is some PROOF of Edward's parents...like maybe a death certificate? Can someone help me out on this?
Thanks so much!
