Area know as THOMPSON's Corners in Cass County.

There's an intersection on Marcellus Rd, west of Marcellus, with a party store on the N.E. corner, called Thompson's Corner.

I was told by an older cousin of my mom's that she was taken to a place, where Thompson's lived on all or most of the corners, and it was known in the area as Thompson's Corners.

I stopped at the store, and asked if that was the name of the store or was the store named for the area. I was told the area had been known for years as Thompson's Corners and that was why the store was named that. This is south of Nicholsville.

Does anyone have anything on it. I know on the S.W. corner, Harriet Thompson (I'm assuming my grgr grandmother) owned property. This was located to the west of land owned by her father. Near by, Joseph and Robert Thompson owned land too. This information came from the 1860 plat map.

Does anyone know anything of this for this area?
