Ethel Kinney and Robert Smith married in Kalkaska County in 1909. Their children included Gertrude, b. 1909, George b. 1910 and Delbert b. 1913.
Sometime before 1920 they split up and Robert takes son George to Dowagiac. Sometime before 1933 George marries Marguerite 'of Dowagiac'. They have son Delbert in 1933, then son Walter. George, Marguerite and family are in the Dowagiac City Directory in 1935, 1938, 1941.
Ethel returns to the family in Dowagiac at least from 1938 to 1944 (she died at the hospital in Ann Arbor in 1945).
It appears George died in Coldwater March 5, 1990, and Walter died September 3, 1986 in Dowagiac.
Hoping someone will recognize this family and can advise on getting obits for George and Walter. Thank you very much.
