Sorter Cemetery is located on section 28, Ovid Township, Branch Co., MI. on Angola Road aka Old highway U.S.-27 South out of Coldwater. I think this is barely north of Pearl Road intersection. I don't think there is a sign with the name of the cemetery, so is confusing to know if you are at the correct cemetery. The cemetery is on the west side of the road, a couple evergreen trees but otherwise it's in the open and easy to see.

I do not find Austin Thompson living in the city of Coldwater at this time, 1927.

In the 1882 Coldwater, Quincy, Union City Directory :
TEACHOUT, Stephen M., (Goodman & Geachout), residence is east side of Walnut Street, 2 doors south of West Pearl Street.
THOMPSON, Hattie, stripper @ B. S. Tibbits (opera house/theatre). boards at Stephen Teachout.
I got a good laugh from that listing, but I don't judge people. I had seen it before but never had anyone ask about a Hattie Thompson. Wonder if it might be your Harriet ?
