Lewis Bryant was born in New Jersey about 1801 and moved with is father to Cincinatti, Ohio when he was 10 years old. Lewis married Susan Folger Hatch about 1826, probably in Ohio. They moved to Michigan about 1835. In 1843 Lewis Bryant was supervisor for Bertrand Township, which at that time included Galien Township. Susan F. Braynt died in Buchanan, Michigan on 27 aug 1874 and Lewis died in Dallas Texas on 01 Dec 1880, after spending some time with his son Nathan B. Bryant in Iowa and his daughter in Dallas. I am trying to locate the burial locations for Lewis and Susan as well as any connection to David Bryant, also of Galien. Several of Lewis's chidlren are buried in the Mount Zion cemetery near Dayton, Michigan. They lived on what was known then as Terre Coupe Prairie. David and his relatives are buried in the Galien Cemetery. After Leaving New Jersey they lived in Butler county, Ohio before coming to Michigan. I would laso like to find his connections in New Jersey.
