Hi Karen -
Just thought I would mention that my Schmuhl's came from Kartlow and Unnode - Unnode is nearer to Kartlow but between Katlow and Jarmen.
Most of this information I have received from a Heidel descendant who's people also were from there and the Schmuhl's and the Heidel's in our bunch came over in 6-23-1863 (There were others at various times - but my particular ones came then)
This Heidel Descendant has had a person in Germany searching for Heidel's and also Schmuhl's because they always seen to come together. He also mentions Wilhelminental, Völschow, Plötz, Zerrentin, Pensin, Pritzenow etc
Anyway - as I look at the map I have here from Mappoint I see Kartlow,Unnode, and Jarmen all in a row - the person doing the searching in the last message I was sent, says he was going next to Jarmen - I have not heard of anything new that he found at Jarmen.
I think that it is certainly very possible that all of our Schmuhl's were related - it is just a matter of finding what that connection was
Maybe one of these days we will find the connection -
