My gggrandparents were Ephraim Patterson and Jane Byce Patterson and lived in Berrien County between 1859 and 1864. One of their daughters married Otto
Schmuhl on July 11,1875. Her name was Mary Patterson and she was born in 1851 in Canada. Until lately I did not know about Mary or some of the other children. Her siblings were Nelson, Stephen, Rhoda, Emily, Watson,Anderson, and Josephine. Ephraim and Jane moved to Antrim County in Michigan in 1864 with Watson, Anderson, and Josephine. The other children may have stayed in Berrien County (Sodus Twp).
