The Flint Genealogical Society will begin meeting monthly, 7 p.m., on September 6, 2011 at the Burton Senior Citizens Center, 3410 S. Grand Traverse, Flint. This is at the Baker Library between Bristol Road and Hemphill Road. Tim Bennett will be presenting a genealogical, historical and archaeological summary of the Warner family of Brighton, MI. The Warners were pioneers in that area arriving in MI from NY in 1836. Nine generations have lived in that area for the past 175 years and descendants still live in the 1855 Greek Revival home. Mr. Bennett is president of the Saginaw Valley Chapter of the Michigan Archaeological Society and has worked on a number of prehistoric and historic archaeological projects in the Midwest.
