JENNY NIEHOUSEN WISPINTER...1800s....Niehausen & Wispinter Families

Thanks so much for your responses, Susan & Bill.

Susan, your information with Bill's response has helped me clarify my confusion over these very similar names but different marriage dates.

Jennie Wispinter m her 1st husband GUSTAV KREGER 19 Jan 1888 in Portsmouth Twship where Wispinter's lived, had her son William Kreger in 1889, & then must have become a widow between 1889 & 1895.

Jennie Wispinter m her 2nd husband GEORGE KREUTZER (sometimes written KRENTZER)on 8 May 1895 & then had her oldest dau Sophia in 1896.

That explains the 7 year gap between Wm's birth in 1889 & Sophie's birth in 1896--with Jennie having just had 3 children, all of whom were still living, in 1900. And it explains how Jennie has 2 valid marriage dates.

AND, it explains the spelling of the family name differently in the 1910 Census, with everybody except Wm's name spelled KREUZER & Wm's name being spelled KRUEGER.

Susan & Bill, Thanks so much for clearing up this confusion.

I have a couple of other questions, but I'll post them separately since they relate to other related families.

Thanks again!
