I'm trying to remember the author of a book that did a great job chronicaling the genealogy of the French-Canadians who migrated first to Goderich (Bay City's sister city for a very good reason...most of us have ancestors who came through there) to Bay, Tuscola and Huron counties in Michigan. I think his name was Denomme and there were a few books that he wrote, but the one of importance to us focused on his Denomme family (and the related lines including Charron-Ducharme) that lived in Huron County, ON in the 1800s. If I can find a copy, will let you know where it is and how to access it. They were self-published and I remember having to find the author's son-in-law to get a copy. But I think there are several good research libraries in Michigan that have copies...Hoyt in Saginaw probably does and I know Detroit Public Library has one.
