Catherine WAHL and William J. MENGE were married 29 Aug 1898 in L'Anse. He was 25, she 27; both were residents of L'Anse; his bp was MI, her bp PA; he was a machinist, she a milliner. They were married by H. Gillingham, M.E. minister. The witnesses were Selma M. Menge and Andrew Wahl, Jr.
Maggie (Margarethe) WAHL and Fred A. GARISON were married 12 Sep 1900 in Baraga County. He was 37, she 25; both were born in MI; he lived in Baraga Co., she in L'Anse; he was a station agent, she a dressmaker. They were married by John M. Shank, pastor and the witnesses were Andrew Wahl and Ina St---illegible.
Anna m1 to LYONS, given name, date and place unknown and m2 to Harry H. MCGINNIS on 10 Sep 1918 in Bay City. He was 54, she 52; both were residents of Flint and both were born in PA; he was a machinist, she at home. Both had been married once previously. They were married by J. Roy VanWych, Presbyterian minister.
Catherine Wahl's death cert says she was born 13 May 1846 PA and her father's name was George EGERT bp Germany. She was married when she died in L'Anse on 21 Mar 1912. However, the informant's name is blank so he/she may not have been a relative. Some marriage licenses show Catherine's maiden name as ECKARD, ECKERT and ECKERS.
If you can trust the 1850 PA census, George's surname could be ECKERD. They lived in Mifflin, Lycoming, PA, his probable wife was Catherine but daughter Catherine was 6.
