I have James P. Cady born 1815 in New York living in Harrisville, Alcona Co., Michigan in the 1880 census. Living with him is wife Mary born about 1832. Living with them is Elizabeth Ward born about 1835 and John Ward born about 1843.
James Cady and Mary Cady minus Elizabeth and John Ward, were living in Harrisville, Alcona Co., Michigan in the 1870 census.
I believe that James is the son of Charles Lewis Cady born 28 Jul 1791 in Brookfield, Worcester Co, Mass and his first wife Sarah.
Charles and second wife Sarah and their family were also living in Harrisville in the 1870 census. Charles died in 1874 in Flushing, Genesee Co., Michigan. Sarah appears with daughter and son in law in the 1880 census in Harrisville.
Can anyone verify if James is the sone of Charles????
Also where was James before the 1870 census and after the 1880 census.
