Looking for Philip Carl b. 1796, Ontario, Canada, married Amanda Chamberlain, b. 1803, NY and their second son, Edward b. 1835, Ontario Canada and his family. Edward married Margaret Elizabeth Clow, b. 1838, Canada and in 1861 Census had 3 children, all born in Canada: (1) William A. Carl b. 1857 (2) Charles F. Carl b. 1858 (3) George M. Carl b. 1860. In 1864 the two families sold their property in Welland County, Ontario, Canada and moved. Have searched for years for them.
Today, I learned from the U.S. 1880 Census they were living in Alcona County, William Bay, Michigan and there were five more children born to this union, all born in U.S. - Edward, Ella Amanda, John Alson, Huberts, Maggie E. ranging in ages 13, 11, 9, 4, & 2. There is no mention of Philip and his wife Amanda in this census.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
