I'm looking for any information on Jacob Meyers (Moyers) who married Sarah Starnes. Not much is known of either of these two individuals and what is known is limited.
Sarah and Jacob lived on the headwaters of the James River for several years. Both the Starnes and Meyers (Moyers) family are closely associated, having been in New York's Schoharie Creek area and in the New River settlement in Virginia.
Jacob and Sarah Meyers gave some land to build Locust Bottom Church in 1786 which was located near the head of the James River, Virginia. In July 1798, Jacob was a trustee and the 1 acre of land was given "for the preaching of the gospel and the education of youth."
Can anyone connect this line into the Meyers family? Did Jacob and Sarah have any children? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
