For the past two years I have been researching several families of Aguascalientes trying to find as much information about my ancestors as I possibly can. At the present time I am trying to identify the parents of Josepha de Iñigues, who married Francisco Ruiz de Esparza on 27 April 1703, in Aguascalientes. Josepha was born in Mexticacán, Jalisco. Her family had been living in Aguscalientes for about ten years when she married Francisco Ruiz de Esparza, son of Christobal Ruis de Esparza and Antonia Alvarado López (aka Antonia López de Alvarado). I have found five of Francisco and Josepha's children, all born and raised in Aguascalientes, as follows: 1) Joseph Antonio, b. 24 Nov 1706 and chr. 12 Dic 1706. 2) Francisca Xaviera, b. 8 Mar 1709 and chr. 18 Mar 1709. 3) Nicolás, b. 8 Feb 1713 and chr. 28 Feb 1713. 4) Christóbal, b. chr. 4 Dic 1715. 5) Joseph Joaquín, chr. 1 Apr 1724. Apparently this couple had other children, but these are the ones I have been able to possitively identify so far. I have a strong suspicion that Josepha de Iñigues may be the daughter of Nicolás de Iñigues, who married María de Ulloa c. 1745 in Teocaltiche and later lived in Aguascalientes. I have also been able to find the following children of Nicolás de Iñigues and María de Ulloa: Juan, Antonio, Thomás, Nicolás, Lucía, Catalina and Christóbal, all born between 1646 and 1674. If you have any knowledge about this family or know where to get the information I am looking for, please send me a message. I have accumulated a wealth of information about the early settlers of Aguascalientes and would be interested in exchanging information about other families, i.e. Romo de Vivar, Martínez de Sotomayor, López de Nava, etc. etc. Notify Administrator about this message?
