Hola Lupe,

We may be related....it may be a while before we find out....my father and his parents were from Burgos too. My grandfather was Julian DE Los Santos Rivera.....so I have Rivera in my direct paternal line.....I have not run across a Leocadio Rivera in my line, but I have another psyberprima whose also looking for her Rivera roots from Burgos....and while I don't see Leocadio in the information that she shared with me....I do see that one of her River's also married a Cienfuego. Please write me directly at the following e-mail: mmarquesa1@yahoo.com. and I will contact her and perhaps you two will find that you are related. Back that many brother's married sisters and so you may be related in that way. We may also be related, but I have a long way to go before my Rivera tree is complete. It does appear that some of the Rivera's from Burgos came there from San Carlos a nearby town. They may have moved back and forth. I'm not sure if San Carlos had it's own church. From what I saw it seemed that they went to Burgos for the sacraments.
Hope to hear from you.....Mercedes
