Felipe,

I am glad to see that I am not the only one looking for his people in Garza-Valdez. I have not yet been lucky enough to find where these people went to baptize or register their children's births. My great grandmother Catarina Garza (don't know her mother's surname)and her brother Rutilo were said to have come from there. My understanding is that there were more brothers and sisters, but my mother does not remember their names as she was very very young when she went there and was introduced to them. I thought that I might find something in the Villagran records, but so far have not found even one hint that people from this hacienda (Garza-Valdez) came to Villagran for the Sacraments. I have however only seen one of the films from Villagran, so perhaps I have just not found the correct film. I have Hernandez in my line also, but my Hernandez relatives were from Linares as far back as the early 1800's.

Let's keep in touch....who knows what we will find.

BTW, It will help if the next time you post a query you mention a time period of when these people might have lived in this area. Some of our ancestor's names are very common and being as specific as possible improves our chances of getting a response.

Buena Suerte......mercedes
