They were married in Greenlee County in a little city named Metcalf (no longer there). It was a mining town, my grandfather was a miner.According to their marriage certificate, they were married in 1918.My grandmother was 17 and my grandfather was 31.On the marriage certificate the witnesses are Pablo Hinojas & Bidala Orosco. My grandfather died in Los Angels at the age of 44 and we don't have too much information on him.My father was only 8 and the two siblings that preceed my father are both gone now. When I listed the subject I put Garcia/Gonzales, but actually it was Soto/Gonzales.Do you have any Soto's in the family? My dad's siblings are Ralph (deceased), Mary (deceased), Hector, Salvador and Ronald.
I don't believe my grandparents went to school.I know my grandmother was living on the Yaqui reservation, I believe in Globe after she left Mexico and in Nudi Sonora.I don't have much info on my grandfather at all.I have requested his death certificate and hopefully that will provide a little more info.Doesn't this get good?
