Doing research for my new grandson! Looking for: Juan Ortiz & Rosario Campoy of Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. Juan was b. about 1887 and Rosario about 1888. Family oral history says Juan was a rancher and merchant in Cananea who ran afoul of someone in the Revolution. Juan moved his family to Baja where he started a restaurant and hotel in Rosarito that is today the famous Rene's. Juan and Rosario's children, Virginia, Czarine, Oscar, Juan Umberto, Rene and Armando moved to the US about 1926 and the family, minus Juan, is shown in the 1930 Census:

1930, CA, San Diego, San Diego
Rosario C 42
Oscar 20
John 18
Rene 15
Armando 10
Virginia 25
Czarine 23

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who can tell me more about the ancestry of this family, or where I might find census records or other vital records for the period before 1930. Thank you!
