Dear Chris,
I envy your knowledge of your Murrieta lineage. My grandfather was born in Alamos, Sonora to Buenaventura Tena and Ignacia Murrieta. In all records found, they all mention Ignacia Murrieta, but there is no information of where she came from. I took a chance and investigated the couple who were my grandfather's Godparents as this couple were unknown to the family. They came from Altar. I can only wonder if Ignacia Murrieta came from Altar. If you come across information regarding an Ignacia Murrieta born approx. 1850, I would appreciate any information you could pass along.

Thank you,
Debbie
