Canyon Seco in Sonora
Does anyone know where Canyon Seco is located?I have several old family pictures that look like they were taken at a reinactment of a battle, but the dates differ and are too late for revolution pictures. They show several men carring Craig rifles, several of them pointing, a destroyed rancho with a large group of soliders in front of it and interesting looking mesas. One man is dressed in white and looks wounded supported by two other men. Names listed on the back are Jesus Flores, Alejandro Feyida, Jose Gomez and others that are hard to read. One is dated 2/18/29 and just says Canyon Seco, Sonora. Another has Comp Flores, Rancho de Canas and mucho muertos, dated 3/15/1929/. Alejandio Feyda hindo y muerte 2 horas despres, Rancho Grande, Son.4/6/1929. Anoterh says Ca. Flores, El Llamito (?) Rancho, Son 3/24/1929.Does anyone have any idea what these are about? I have Flores in my family history so wonder if any relation. Would be happy to share the pics. They're very interesting. Thanks
