Hi Gonzalo, Yes we have corresponded before regarding the Murrietas. I can't remember right now what we had discussed because I haven't been able to go very far with my Murrieta ancestry. I am investigating a lead with the help of Raclare Kanal that my Murrieta ancestors were also from the area of Altar. I have no concrete evidence yet, just knew the name of my great grandmother, Ignacia Murrieta. What made me wonder about Altar was, I received my grandfather's Christening record from the church in Alamos. His Padrinos were a couple I had never heard of before. I have traced this couple as being married in the Altar district (Saric/Sari). This was the first time I had ever heard of any connection with Altar. Why would my grandfather's Padrinos come from Altar unless one of his parents knew people from there and people who were close enough to the family to be considered as Padrinos. So now I have been investigating this couple. Their names are Ricardo Searey/or Searcey and his wife, Carmen Araiza. Any of those names/surnames in your family tree? Thanks for posting.

Debbie
