Santos LEON (De Leon) SOTO in CULIACAN
I am trying to piece together a family of Leon's (De Leon) and Soto's through CA census records (1860, 1870, 1880) and only women are present. At least one was from Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico and all were in northern CA by 1860:
I. Josephine Leon, b. c. 1800, Mexico
i. Refucio/Refugio Leon, b. c. 1825, Mexico
a. Augustina, b. c. 1842, Mexico
ii. Santos Leon, b. c. 1828, Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico; died in San Francisco July 15, 1894
a. Rosarina Soto, b. c. 1848-50, Mexico
b. Eugenia Soto
iii. Fabiana/Fabina, b. 1834, Mexico
(possibly three daughters: Maria, Refugia, Eliza,
all born in 1840s in Mexico)
Is anyone else researching this family? Could anyone assist with identifying the men or any other details? Or suggest where to look for Mexican records witn somewhat common names.Thank you.
