Don't know much about my great grandfather, Nicolas de Leon (from mid 1800‘s) his wife was Refugio Covarrubias. Don't know if he had any other children other than my grandfather Francisco de Leon born around 1875-1885) -wife Petra Flores b. 1884. Francisco was a Musician/composer (I still have his original music sheets). He died of injuries received from Pancho Villa's army in 1910-1920's. His children were: Elias de Leon (my father) who was born in Huajucar(?)Jalisco on 07/20/1904..his brother Liborio never married or had children, and his sister Aurora died as a young child.
My father Elias married my mother Maria Carlos b. 08/15/1909 in Zacatecas, Zac. Her grandfather was Pablo Carlos (mid 1800’s) m. Maria Teresa Campos. His son (my mother’s father) was Jorge Carlos b. 04/23/1871 born in Jerez, Zacatecas and died in Santa Paula, Calif. On 06/20/1921. I don’t know if my grandfather had any siblings. In the 1880’s he married my grandmother Tiburcia Villaneda (she died in 1947 in Zacatecas) from Zacatecas, Zacatecas.. Tiburcia’s parents were Manuel Villaneda (mid 1800’s) and Vicenta Banuelos. Tiburcia had a brother named Miguel Villaneda. My mother’s brothers were Leocadio, Juan, Cipriano, Cayetano, and Julian. Leocadio, Juan, and Cipriano descendants still live in Zacatecas.
