Lines associated- Gutierrez , Chapa, Hinojosa, Elizondo, Canales, Guajardo. Villareal, Garcia, Alanis, Vela, Alarcon, Gonzalez, Salinas, Satillo
Anastacio Canales, b. 1849 registered in Mier Mex..- immig/naturalized in 1877? to TX. He married Librada Guterrez in Duval county Dec.15, 1877 ( no cert. Got from Bible page) Died in Duval county. Age 72 in 1920 census, last known census of him. Anastacio was a farmer. Hired son Placido to work in 1914. Anastacio possible death is 1924?. He is not in the Seaburry papers. Not in ancestry.com parish database. Not found yet in Mier church baptisms. No land grants. Was a residence Realitos Tx. In 1880 Texas census. Anastacio is not buried in Librada’s cemetery or at least there is no stone ( Vandels have ruined alot of the Ranchero graves). Other local Realitos cemeteries have been searched by foot. No luck. Possible cemetery for Anastacio is Clovis Cemetery.
Anastacio and Librada found in an index card from the records of a San Agustin Parish, Laredo Texas. Card reads: Anastasio Canales and Librada Gutierrez, Eugenio 1893 Blp50n30Hebron, Placido 1894 Blp56n111Hebron, and Eloisa 1898 Blp106n629 Hebron.
Luis Leal the famous Genealogist of Duval county (has no computer, but knows every family
in the surrounding counties) says that Anastacio's father was the brother of Pedro Ca nales father.
If you recall, Gonzalo and Marcelo murdered my grandfather. Pedro was their father. Pedro's
father I believe was Miguel Canales and Juana Villarreal. Pedro died in brooks county and his
death certificate is online. The LDS sithe has a Miguel Canales and Juana Villarreal in Monte-
morelos, Mexico.
So if....
Anastacio’s fathers brother’s is Miguel Canales. Miguel Canales born 1857? married to Juanita Villarreal born 1858 Montemorelos area. Pedro (death cert.) confirmed son of Miguel. 1920 duval census. Pedro Canales died in Brooks county.

I went to the Mexican Parish records on Ancestry.com and found Pedro’s Baptism 15 jul 1872, when I clicked on the link it says Pedro Canales, Father Miguel Canales mother Juana Villarreal. Then when I went to download the source I got this.

The Mexican Parish Records baptism record for Jose Miguel Canales (bapt. 5 Oct 1854), son of Felipe Canales and Viviana Ramos, suggests that a more likely birth/baptism year for Miguel would be 1854 NOT 1857, but does not provide any indication that this Miguel is the one who is the father of Pedro (1872-1961). There is a death certificate for a Miguel Canales (indexed as Miguel Camales) at pilot.familysearch.org in the Texas Deaths 1890-1976 collection. I think that this is the same death certificate for the same Miguel Canales (son of Felipe Canales and Viviana Ramos who was baptized in 1854. The quality of the death certificate image is very poor and barely legible, but now gives us birth/baptims and death years for this Miguel. Unfortunately this record does not give the name of his wife/widow and the informant name is not legible in the image. It would appear from the death certificate that Miguel Canales died 28 Dec 1915 in Salineno, Starr Co., Texas and he was a widow at the time of death. No place of burial was recorded in the death certificate.
Anastacio Canales married Librada Gutierrez born 1863 in Mier. death cert, info: place of death is Tienditas Rch, Texas prect. #6 Realtos in Duval county. Place of burial is Tienditas Rch Tx. In 02/01/1941. Librada was a midwife. Her parents are: Juan Gutierrez and Antonia Maria Chapa. Her siblings are: Manuela, Francisca, Maria De Refugio on 1870 census. Children born in TX. Helped raise Hinojosa relatives.
Librada Gutierrez Chapa had a sister by the name of Gorgonia Gutierrez Garcia and she married Juan Nepomuceno Cantu I their son Juan Nepomuceno Cantu II married Vicenta Vela Cantu. Their daughter, Guadalupe Cantu Vela married Zarzagosa Gonzalez Perez, my mother's brother. My mother was Elida Gonzalez Perez married to Jose Garza Garza Ruiz. (two times garza) He is brother to Tia Estella's husband in Mexico. Both decesaed. and first cousins to Lole kids and Ramiro's.I just went to my database and sure enough I have Antonio Elizondo as the son of Dionicio Elizondo and Gertrudes Gonzalez. I will probably have to make a change when I research to see if he married the Muniz lady first. The other child is also listed under him and Gertrudis.Look what I just found. I was not aware that Dionicio Elizondo my great grand father had a wife by the name of Muniz. Also had a son by the name of Antonio.This lady mentioned the children with gertrudes Gonzalez but did not mention Viviana Elizondo Cavazos, she is my great grandmother. that was his daughter. she married Benito Gonzalez.
I know this is the right Dionicio as I recognize the names of my great grandmother's brothers and sisters.

I have this family line in Karnes, Webb and Duval, Starr counties, Realitos, Hebbronville, Tienditas Ranch, and Laredo, Texas and also in Mier, Mex.. Also associated with Mother Cabrini Church of Laredo. Chapa’s from Chapeno Rnch.
They are in the 1870, 1880, 1910, 1920, 1930 Tx census.

On 1880 census name is misspelled as Carnales- children listed as
1.Fransesco Carnales- age 1 Fransesco is Francisca the oldest daughter that was married to Hinojosa and the mother of all the kids Librada raised. She died young. Celestino was married to Cliseria Ramirez and when he died, she married Celestino's brother.

6.Juan Canales b 1884 Realitos d 1960 Tienditas married Genoveva Vela in Kennedy in 1905- 15 children. Genoveva Vela is the daughter of Juan Vela and Benancia Lopez. She was born on 01 03, 1887. She died on 03 11, 1964 in Duval (Tendietas), Texas
7.Samuel Canales- b 1889 Gloria Ranch d 1965 Realitos Cliseria was married to both Samuel and Celestino Canales. Samuel Canales and Cliseria Ramirez. They had 2 children. Pedro Canales andJesusa Canales.Anastacio CANALES and Librada GUTIERREZ had a son named Samuel CANALES. Samuel's 1st wife was Cleceria/Cliseria RAMIREZ (dau. of Jose Ma. RAMIREZ and Petra RAMIREZ). Samuel and Cliseria had a daughter named Jesusa CANALES (1921-1991) who married my mother's brother, Edmundo GARCIA (1919-1995).
